I had this one from gohastings in my cart for the longest time, but I couldn't bring myself to buy it. There didn't seem to be enough extras that would interest me in double-dipping since I own one release already... I'll probably regret this later...

Funny, I'm an old-timer here. I actually BOUGHT this DVD new from GoHastings about seven years ago for $9.99 as a price mistake. Loved DVD Talk then and still do today.

Is there any reason to own this other than it's an OOP Criterion? I just bought the Robocop trilogy which has the unrated version with commentary... Is there something more included in this one?

There are a couple different extras, but nothing mind-blowing. The people who would probably be most interested (besides Criterion completists) are video/audio purists. The Criterion disc has the original English, stereo audio and is presented in the original theatrical aspect ratio (whether this is the OAR is a matter of debate).
See here (http://www.dvdbeaver.com/film/DVDCompare3/robocop.htm) for more info and screen shots.
