Double Suicide at Sonezaki?

Does anyone know if there's a way to see this late '70s Japanese film starring Meiko Kaji (the Female Convict Scorpion series) and directed by Yasuzo Masumura (Blind Beast, Manji)? I've really enjoyed the Masumura films I've seen and I'm a huge Kaji fan. This doesn't appear to be out on video anywhere, though. Are there plans for a release?

Nothing about a future release of this film, Toho International owns the rights for the US.
The story of Monzaemon Chikamatsu has been adapted in 1969 by Masahiro Shinoda too, released on DVD by Criterion.
