Day of Defeat: Source Question

I am looking at possibly buying this....however i wonderded if like Counter Strike: Source i can set up my own server with bots instead of playing online. I just get pissed sometimes at slow down and such things with the online play, but love Counter Strike.

Is this game any good as well? How does it compare to CS:Source???

DOD:Source is an excellent game. However, no bots, at least not that I'm aware of. I liked it better than CS:Source. I'm a big fan of the WWII era games.

I used to play all the time before source. Then they had tons of bugs (like getting stuck to teammates) and quit. Did they ever fix those?

DOD:S is definitely a very good game and good deal at only $20 (I've seen it as low as $10 at times at Best Buy and Circuit City). There are no bots out now, as far as I know, so all play would have to be online. There are currently only something around 6 official maps, which does limit variety of play some, and unlike CS, in my opinion, nearly all custom DOD maps are pretty lousy. With that said, the game looks great and plays as well as the original DOD. The balance of the weapons and the reliance of weapon classes on each other is what has always made DOD great.
