Saw Bucky on Regis and Kelly yesterday...He sang"Very Superstitious" with only a piano accompaniment... proved to me that he was the one who should have went last week. VERY BAD! He said he was heading to Nashville to pursue some opportunities.

Bucky was just on the Today show...They didnt let him sing! Ha ha~ Anyway, guess he is making the rounds clarifying his comments about Simon that he said were taken out of context? Didnt hear any of that, but basically saying that Simon hates Country music so getting him to like someone like Bucky was like kicking a dead horse (insert perfect matching smilies here..!~ ) that it just wasnt gonna happen.. (cough cough...Bucky..ever hear of Carrie Underwood? oh and yeah, he pretty much loves Kellie Pickler?) Then he said Simon was more critical this year with less good advice for them. Actually I agree with that....

While I think Ace or Paris should be next to go, how can people vote before they see the show? Unfortunately, I think Chris and Kellie will have the toughest time tonight (with the theme), while Ace may skate by (again). I think Elliot, Paris, Taylor, and Katharine will shine tonight. Rod Stewart - go away.

American Songbook = ?

Any song written by an American?

Or does it have to be something Rod already covered in his "American Songbook" series?

I guess they don't go by the one show performance. May be based on season-to-date performance. (I save my DVDTalk prediction for after the show anyway tho.)

I think by now it's more that people have favorites, and even if they screw it up, their fans still call in and place some tick marks in their column. Singing ability may have got them to the finals, but now it's XX% singing and YY% public appeal.

Often, a bad performance will get you through (especially if Simon rails on it), but it's a mediocre performance that gets faint praise that'll oust somebody.

I voted Ace, but think it will be a non-elimination or to be continued...

I voted for Ace to go before seeing tonight's performance because he should be gone already and isn't improving with the additional opportunities.

I vote for Ace to do a burning camera stare and a slow arm raise to form a cross.

Well I thought Chris did pretty well...You know I love these songs, but I absolutely hate Rod Stewart doing them, I think they sound awful. I thought Chris did a better job than Stewart dos on them.

I do beleive that Chris and Paris just gave EXCELLENT performances, and I could most likely turn off my tv and still have seen the top 2 tonight.

I am really hoping we have a Chris and Paris Final, with Chris winning.

Taylor Hicks was great as well!! Just when I thought Taylor was slipping, the last two weeks he has been on fire. Great performance!!

Chris and Paris were very good. Looks to be a good night.

So...Kellie wants us to vote her off. OK cool, I will definitely oblige her remarks and not vote for her. Oh wait, I did that before anyways.

And one can only guess what type of "load" Kellie has had on her chest before...

So should he be known as Ace Van Dahm or Jean Claude Van Ace??

And since he got Simon's approval, it's definitely time to say

Looks like Ace is definitely gone. Only Kellie really screwed up and we all know she isn't going anywhere. It would have taken a very bad performance by someone already not very popular (like Elliott) along with a stellar performance to save Ace. Neither happened.

Chris, Paris, & Taylor - Top 3 without question

I am sorry...I do not see what they see in McPhee! She has been mediocre the past two weeks.

Elliot was good but tends to get drowned out by the music.

All in all a pretty good night!

Yes, it was a good night. Save for Ace and Kellie. They have to be in the bottom three. They were terrible. Ace was just awful. Can't believe the judges liked him. Who will be the third?

My top 3 was Chris, Taylor and Katherine (although she does this funny thing with her face as soon as she finds the camera..which by the way got so close up on her face, I thought we were about to journey up her nose)

Middle Performances-Ace...I know I know..you all hate him, but I thought he was decent and did a good job, and Paris sounded good, but I hated the song.

Bottom 2-Elliot-Yes a great voice, but no charisma or stage presence at all..and Pickler was awful, awful, and painful to listen to. But pretty safe to say she isn't going anywhere.

I agree with Simon about Elliot. His voice is usually great, but his lack of personality on stage is starting to really show. The fewer contestants we get, the more apparent it becomes.
