AVA - Angels & Airwaves
What do you guys think?
I saw the band two nights ago at Chain Reaction, in Anaheim, CA.
If any of you know about Chain, you'll know what a tiny venue it is.
It was the best show of my life, no exaggeration.
I'm not into this type of music - I'm a hardcore / mathcore / noisecore man myself, but I can't help but appreciate everything Tom DeLonge has done for music.
The album has been leaked for four days now. Rumor has it Tom leaked it himself so fans would get to experience the real thing before hearing bootlegs of the song live, and that being their first experience with AVA.
My favorite song on the new album is VALKYRIE MISSLE,here, which sends you on a six minute musical journey.
I haven't felt this strongly about a band since Sigur Ros.
Seriously guys, you should check this out.
If it's not your kind of music, fair enough.
Just please refrain from negative comments.
That's the beautiful thing about opinions, everyone has one.
Thanks for reading, and enjoy.

I've been listening to the album and I like it a lot so far. It didn't hit me quite like I expected, but I'm sure it'll keep growing on me. Glad they played the entire album, There Is, and some of Down at the show. Hope they keep doing so and I'll definitely see them on the Taking Back Sunday co-headlining tour. I'm intrigued by what Plus-44 has to offer as well. I really dig No It Isn't.

Pretty good c.d. but it's pretty much a know fact that Tom from blink found Jesus, thats not a bad thing. This was pretty much the reason he left and disbanded blink. He wanted blink to have amore " higher" meaning and was out voted.

not entirely true.
he is a well-known democrat, and signed the band up to go on tour supporting john kerry.
the band disagreed, and didn't want their music to be involved with politics. the fights started then.
it's been a whole ongoing thing, but no, nothing of this is inspired by religion.
it is meant to take your mind off of current events in america.
