Amazon.de... *ouch* shock sets in..
Was set to pre-order a DVD from Amazon.de..
Disk due domestically in mid-May, releases there, next week, Uncut & with DTS.
Dang... The shipping is equal to the price of the DVD
Hard to justify, even for DTS etc.
Spoiled by Amazon.uk & Amazon.fr more tolerable shipping rates..LOL!
Gotta' re-evaluate this purchase.

he..he.. Thanks Frenzy.
I had looked there & several others... Amazon.de was the only place I was able to find it, even announced, or for pre-order.
Guess I'll wait & see if CD-WOW or anyone else has it after release date.
Thanks again.

he..he.. already a marginally tolerable film, from many reports, it seems to appeal only to fairly hardcore genre-junkies like my son (who thinks SAWII should have an Oscar nod)

Amazon.de is not the only german e-tailer that "suffers" high shipping rates to North America.
Thus, I recommend ordering in Austria or in Switzerland. Shipping is still "high", in my opinion, but it's a lot cheaper than in Germany.
Since both countries belong to the german-speaking area, DVDs are in most cases the same.
Austria:

Payment possibilities rest of the world:
Cash on advance & credit card: With a cash on advance or credit cards order postage amounts for a packing with 1-4 DVDs to 13.00 euro!
with a packaging of 5 -9 DVDs 22.00 to euro!
for a package starting from 10 DVDs 29.00 euro!
The package is sent away in this case recommended and is thus insured.
The minimum purchase order value amounts to EUR 15,00.
Switzerland:

Shipping to the States is 10SFr, which is approx. 6,50€ (each article)
Your DVD would be 17,42€ + 6,50€ = 23,92€
I'm not in the mood to convert the prices into us-dollars.
I hope I could help you.
