Eh, at least Lois has a reason to be hanging around the Kent farm now, and Lana is totally taking on a walk on the bald side. Clark's paternal instincts on display were okay, but it did feel much like the older FOTW episodes from the early years.

Yeah, between the blue triangle, AOL in BIG letters and the subject header "Blog ready", I was TOTALLY surprised it was yet another subtle product placement on Smallville...

Fluff stuff but had bits and pieces that made it worth it like Lana and Lex's ongoing relationship. Also great to see Lois working with Martha now so that means more Lois!

Anyone else notice that Tom Welling (Clark Kent) directed this episode?
Other than Chloe confronting Lex and the Lex/Lana kiss, this episode was a waste.
I did have to scream "Muggle!" when the girl formed those glass knives, because she reminded me of the actress that plays Hermonie in the Harry Potter movies.

I have to agree that the continual freaks of the week mantra has grown incredibly tired. It seems the writers have absolutely no imagination. Every freak episode is pretty much the same story. There are dozens of new areas this show can be taken that don't require another superfreak.

The first season was almost completely fotw.
The arcs have gotten much richer. What I haven't undestood is why not let a character come in for 3 episodes and have them intertwine with the major arc. Glass girl had little to do with any arc.

My question is this: how are they going to make the characters not know Clark is Superman once he makes that transition? Lois might be conceited enough not to notice, but I'm pretty sure Lex will recognize him, as well as everyone else who's seen him in the last 5 years.

The thing about this season that bothers me is that it looked like this season was going very well - and then once they killed off Pa Kent, everything went downhill in the writing department.
