As the minutes tick by, it doesn't seem as though Vicarious will leak early.
From the Lateralus experience, it doesn't seem like the album is going to leak any more than a few days in advance either.
On some TOOL message boards people have been communicating with Radio DJ's about the single. Will they play it early? Do they have it? etc..
From what I scanned, some stations have it, but are legally not allowed to play it until the 17th. TOOL is very protective, so I wouldn't be surprised by a lawsuit from them to protect what they want. I also think I read somewhere that some stations are getting it the day of via a high quality MP3. Seems like that would be a first, and a way to keep it out of the hands of people who might be tempted to play it early.
It'll be all over the net and radio on Tuesday (17th). Seeing how I believe TOOL to be the best band in the world, I cannot wait. Hope this helped.

best information seems to be coming from internet messages boards....but as always with tool take it with a grain of salt. Apparently the song won't be distributed in the usual promo cd format, but will be downloaded from some sort of secure server to prevent leaks. there was a station in pittsburgh on friday that played a 30 second clip of the song. all instrumental and a huge tease.
