Blue Thunder TV series in the works

This past Tuesday, Sony released a new Special Edition DVD of the Blue Thunder film. A year after it hit big at the box office, the film was spun off into a short-lived (11 episodes) series that
starred James Farentino (Dynasty, The Final Countdown), former NFL stars Bubba Smith and
Dick Butkus, and a pre-SNL Dana Carvey. One of the show's producers was Jeri Taylor, who
was later on the creator of Star Trek: Voyager.
With the new DVD of the film, there are several cool extras, including a 3-part "Ride With The
Angels" documentary, about the making of the film. In Part 3: Post-Production, about 7:50 into
the chapter you will see a shot of the TV show's cast, seen below. As you can see in the
close-up, there are some exciting words in regard to the series:
