Dish Network Channels change by themselves?

I had Dish Network in my old condo and in my new single family home. I have it set up where a have two dual tuner receivers so that 4 different programs can be watched in different room at the same time.

In both places where I've lived the TVs not connected to the receivers spontaneously change channels, go to menu functions, or tv guide listings when no one is touching the remote controls or the receivers in any of the rooms.

I'm guessing the remotes for the televisions that are not connect to the receivers work by radio freqency rather than infra red. So is it possible that if any of my neighbors have dish Network set up the same way, when any of us use those remotes we are changing each others channels or is something else going on? Does anyone that has Dish have similiar experiences. Is there anyway to fix this?

You need to change the address on your remote. There are instructions in the remote contol user guide. If you don't have a user guide, they are available to view on Dish Network's web site. I had to do this on my PVR receivers. -Mike

By the way... this is a great practical joke if you know anybody with a radio frequency remote (take your own remote and change the station periodically).

But yes, read your owner's manual, it'll tell you how to change the address in the remote.
