Looks like how it works is you get a credit for 3 when you register. I downloaded my 3 and when I went to load them into itunes it asked for my audible acct info (so don't close the acct too quickly!) I plan on listening to the downloads and closing the acct within the 14 day trial period. Davinci Code was 200+ megs...wow

Very cool. All set for our next road trip.
Edit: I don't know if it was just the title I selected, but the software simply faded the audio out in mid-sentence at the disc switch when I burned the book to CD.

I have been a member of audible for the last 8 months and you are allowed to copy them to your Ipod, but I'm not sure about Cd's; heck I'm not even sure about other computers.
Also they are not Mp3 files they are AA files. (Audible Audio?)

They charged me for the next month on the 14th day of my trial.
Edit: They very quickly wrote back to let me know they refunded the fee.

I'm actually a fan of Jiggerbug - it's somewhere between Audible and Netflix. I like it because I've been able to rent some books on CD that aren't available for download. They have a free 2 week trial (like Netflix)

Well, just got back from our trip and my downloads worked fine and really did the trick (keeping me awake thru a night of driving.) Only beef really is the quality of the audio. Some very obvious odd edits in it that almost sound like a different narrator. Other than that...

I enjoy aubile.com, I've listened to 20 books in 10 months; much more than I would ever sit and read.
