I think it looks awesome and was hoping it will be compatible with my 360. Anyone know?

Odds are, not immediately. I don't think any XBox title has been released backwards compatible. Maybe Half-Life 2, I think that would be the closest. I know I've been waiting for more than a month for Black and they just released the BC patch yesterday. Being that was my only game I was really waiting for, I got lucky. I know that the BC thread is full of people waiting on certain games.

Will Jaws Unleashed ever be released? I thought it was supposed to come out ages ago.

I saw that it was released on Tuesday, anybody have a chance to give it a shot yet? I think it looks great, but without any reviews or even user reviews I'm hesitant.

the controls take some time to get used to. i thought the game was complete **** till level 4. Don't get me wrong, the game's still BAD. game's camera is controlled by a retard, and obviously they said F it and skipped QC. too many bugs, in one of the early missions, I jumped out of the water to steal a ID card from a scientist and couldn't get back in the water..

Save your $$$ for blood money.

DAMMIT. I was really looking forward to this one. Anything redeeming at all? I'm trying to talk myself out of this one and it's not working yet, I suppose I'll hold off on my EBgames lunch run to pick it up.

killing people and sinking boats are kinda fun. like GTA in water. but my friend played and loved it. I guess it depends on you.

Jaws is a great game. You can't go wrong for $29.99.

The controls do take getting used to. After all, you're a fish, not Carl Johnson.

But yeah, it's definitely worth it.

I picked this up yesterday on PS2 (hooray for 100% BC and upscaling on the PS3!) and I love it. The controls take about ten minutes to get used to, and it's all gravy from there. The game opens up to the whole of Amity Island after a few levels, and for the person who couldn't get back in the water: You're pressing the wrong buttons, I did it fine.

This game is just fun. You're a giant shark and you eat people and destroy property. It's brilliant.

Ok I'm happy now, I was very worried there for a minute. I wasn't expecting Halo or God of War, but I was expecting to eat people and cause havoc, which it sounds like they got right.

If you're on the fence, rent it, or trade in some games to the local store that takes trade-ins to offset the cost.

nope i wasn't pressing the wrong buttons. i'd think i seen enough games to know whats a glitch and what isn't. lol

Then why was I able to jump out of the tank and get back in just fine? Doesn't seem like much of a glitch to me. I'm also able to jump onto the beach on the island and wiggle my way back into the ocean. No problems at all.

So can you play this on the 360?

The NES Jaws game will always reign supreme.

I don't believe it can be played on the 360, no.

I'm not talking about wiggling back to the ocean. I'm talking about getting stuck around corners and shit and things you are carrying disappearing. if it hasn't happened to you, whoopie dee do for you.

this is the xbox version for those who wants to know and no you cannot play on the 360 (yet).

Whoopie dee for me it is then. I still think this game rocks and I would heartily recommend it to anyone who wants to destroy stuff as a giant shark.

looks like it wasn't just me who noticed the glitches

from ign's review:
Unleashed's bugs and glitches are almost as bad. Swim too close to some kind of structure (especially in narrow quarters), for example, and it's entirely possible (re: likely) that Bruce will get stuck on invisible polygons never to detach again -- forcing you to load from an earlier save point and thereby repeating everything you just did;

I did end up buying it last week and I'm very satisfied. The missions... well they suck, really no way around that. Just about every mission I've played (through 5 or 6) involves picking up barrels and getting shot, but somehow not dying. It's also hilarious when Jaws flops around on land and chases people down. Given it's low on realism, but it cracks me up when Jaws is flopping around eating people on the beach. The free roaming is great, my only problem is how shallow the water is. It's all the same 20-30 feet deep, that just makes it that much more unrealistic. But for the eating people, boat crushing, and sheer carnage, it's pretty fun.

I initially read the thread title as "Jews unleashed," which would probably be a much more interesting game.
