DVD Talk review of 'Werner Herzog - DVD Edition Documentary and Shorts'

I read Ian Jane's DVD review of Werner Herzog - DVD Edition Documentary and Shorts at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=20788 and...

Is this available in America? On Region 1 DVD?

It's an NTSC region 0 set and it's available off of Werner Herzog's website. As far as I know, that's the only place you can get it.

Can you tell me what the manufacturing quality is like on the discs themselves?
The pic on the site makes them look like burns (which I assume they're not).

You assume correct - they're factory pressed. Each of the six discs comes in its own standard size keepcase and they in turn are housed inside a fairly sturdy cardboard box. The design is basic, it's not particularly colorful or fancy, but it does the trick. The back cover of each keepcase gives a very brief description of each film, the running time, and the film type it was shot on.

Thanks for putting that fear to rest, and for the review too. I'd been interested in this
set since first hearing about it a few months back.
