Bought 125000 worth of turnips this morning @ 107 a piece. I've only taken a loss one week out of 16 so hope my luck stays true.

I got an email from Nintendo Friday and the picture they had showed hybrids around the player's house, so I took all my hybrids and moved them there. I hope I win!

I don't know, but I started buying every single flower package at Nook's and planting them around my house. I also stole a lot of flowers from other people's houses and around town, and planted them around my house as well. I can't say for sure if I'll win, but I certainly have the most flowers out of anyone. ;)

Does anyone know if Dandelions count as a flower? I know they're actually weeds in reality. But since they're something you can't purchase, does that raise their value as far as this is concerned?

If you approach him with the massage chair in your inventory he'll ask for it and give you a rare scallop in exchange which you can later give to Pascal (the guy by the beach) who in turn will give you either a Pascal Pic or a Golden Axe. I think that even if you have done this exchange before it'll allow you to do it again.

My HRA is 188.900 but my house is a mess. I think it's the fenshui in my front room which is giving me the high rating. I also have my turnips on fenshui tables and tons of animal pictures all over. Try arranging your theme or furniture sets according to fenshui if you can and if you have any rare items they help score also. I've noticed it pays to do fenshui, at least I've experienced good fishing and acquired some hard to obtain items such as a garden knome and a mountain bike.

About Flower Fest:
One of my animal residents approached me with a tip: Nan said that if I used many different types of flowers rather than many of the same (and same color I supose) it would be better.

I found this information from a person on livejournal who does the time traveling thing...

I time travel, so I've done the flower fest a few times trying to win it. All you need to do to win is put down as many hybrid flowers on the last day, which is Sunday. It worked for me every time!! I would not have any flowers around my house all week then just put down 2 row deep circle of flowers around my house on Sunday with as many hybrids as possible (I had about 30 hybrids).

The only week I didn't win the festival was the week that I tried to actually water my flowers every day. I watered each flower about 3 times a day, and no matter what I would always have 2-5 flowers that dried out. The result was a garden with brown flowers and no trophy : ( And this was with hybrids too, which seem to dty out faster, imho.

Trust me - save your hybrids for the last day!!

walk up to the table that has an empty spot, drop a tool on the floor your shovel, net, etc. stand on top of your tool then put the turnip on the table. i don't know if they will go bad if you keep them in your pockets but i'm sure you won't smell very good :)

Anyone have their game freeze on them? Today is Melba's birthday. The two times I have given her an office desk for her birthday, my game has frozen. It doesn't respond to any button presses except the power button. However, doing that causes Resetti to appear. By the way, she loves the desk, and is very happy to get it, if that matters. I haven't tried giving her something else yet, but that is the next thing I am going to try.

Tappy--I am so sorry! He got me last night too! He said, "Hahahahaha I ran through your flowers, April Fools!".... then promptly left! Fortunately he didn't get a chance to cut down any trees though. Pedro from Hyrule was in my town when it happened, so he took me to his town to give me some flowers. Mike showed up there too, and Pedro disconnected before he could do any damage. I was just so shocked because he seemed totally cool the day before. It's too bad there are people out there just wanting to ruin people's towns. I am definitely going to be more careful of who I add from now on.... :grumble:

I think I remember trying something similar in the Gamecube version once, but it didn't work.

If he was selling an orange chair, a retro tv, and a nintendo bench yesterday, and you tell the game to go back a day, then he'll still have those same items.

I'm pretty sure there is a way to keep the same code if you switch to a different DS. I don't have the manual with me right now (away on business) but the WiFi manual tells you how to do it.

Nintendo has announced that DS title Animal Crossing: Wild World has proved to be a huge hit with consumers and retailers, with more than 3 million copies shipped worldwide.

Wild World allows players to explore their own unique Animal Crossing town, to make friends with the local inhabitants, upgrade their houses and to visit other players' homes via the Wi-Fi Connection service. The game launched in Europe on March 31st, by which time 2 million copies had already been sold in Japan.

It's proved so popular, in fact, that a big screen adaptation is on the way. Japanese director Jouji Shimura will take the helm for the animated movie, which is set to hit cinemas over there this December.

Animal Crossing: Wild World joins the likes of Mario Kart DS and Nintendogs on the list of multi-million selling DS titles. More than 6 million copies of Nintendogs have now been sold, and Nintendo is hoping that forthcoming mind training title Brain Age will also prove to be a success when it launches in Europe on June 9th. More than 1.8 million copies of the first instalment in the Brain Age series have been sold in Japan since the game was released there last May.


I finally plan to get this game when I buy the DS Lite in June.
