DVD Talk review of 'Lust for Life'

I read DVD Savant's DVD review of Lust for Life at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=20170 and...

...no more of an acknowledgment of Vincente Minelli's legacy other than 'Cabin in the Sky', 'The Band Wagon' and 'Meet Me in St. Louis'?

Surely it is not necessary to list his other award winning best but it certainly bears mentioning that, given the average studios' policies of the times, MGM repeatedly submitted to him treacly material that few other directors would have made nearly as entertaining as with: 'The Bad and the Beautiful', 'Two Weeks in Another Town', 'Home from the Hill', 'Some Came Running' and, yes, 'The Sanpiper'.

Among other stylish efforts that place Minelli more than a notch above the average norm: 'Father of the Bride', 'Designing Woman', 'The Bells are Ringing', 'The Reluctant Debutante', The Courtship of Eddie's Father' and very especially 'Tea and Sympathy'.
