The version shown is an OOP DTS version. It has a different upc than the newer special edition. I Don't really know much about this site but I ordered one anyways.

I've never even heard of this site, but for $3, I'll certainly give it a shot.

Thanks for posting this!

Anybody thinks it is a price mistake? If it is, does TigerDirect have the tendency to honor it?

Probably not a mistake, they have other cheap ones, mainly some Christmas stuff.

The 1999 Dts version has the best sound track of the DVD's. The 2005 Se version has better picture. I don't have either one and for 3 bucks I can double dip very cheap. Ordered one copy.

Don't hold your breath on getting the DVD. TigerDirect has an unsatisfactory record with the BBB, and their long shipping delays and "customer service" are legendary (in a bad way) among people who frequently buy PC parts.

I've dealt with TigerDirect in the past, and it wasn't a pleasant experience. I ordered a piece of software, and waited over a month for it to ship. I eventually called them to cancel the order, and the customer service representative admitted that they never actually carried the product, and never would. (Didn't stop them from taking my order and charging my credit card, though.)

I don't think they're THAT bad. But to each his own, I'm in for 1.

For $2.98 I'll bite on this one. I have been wanting this version (DTS) for some time, but never came across a good enough deal. Never bought from Tiger, but hope they deliver on this one and can't wait to see this again and how it sounds as well.

I've ordered from them about 10-12 times the past 3-4 years and never had a single problem. All on computer parts and blank DVDs, never movies.

So perhaps YMMV, but my experiences have all been very positive.

EDIT - Wow, after some searching I see that I must have been extremely lucky in dealing with them... there are lots of reports of shadiness with them. Makes me think twice about using them again.

Actually, a lot of people think the original DVD (and the OOP DTS) have a better picture than the '05 SE. I agree.

It's a shame. that was a great price - less than a quarter per monkey.

The Beaver does not like the blue filter removed from the original R2 SE and the dts version. He says the new SE is less grainy then either and looks smoother. Why do you prefer the older versions also??
