What happened to Coming Attractions on E?

I used to look forward to seeing a 1/2 hour each week of previews on E and had it set to be DVR'd each week- Now with out any notice E decides to pull the plug on the show- Instead they air crap like the bimbo hour "The simple life"- I sent them 2 emails and no response. What a big surprise. At least HDNET airs each week "Nothing but trailers".
I can't wait till Moviewatch launches this summer-Maybe we can finally get a channel that focuses on movies only. Movietime was so much better before it turned into E!

I was wondering the same thing. It was a pretty cool show (apart from the idiotic banter between trailers).

You can find 2 good trailer shows on HDTV... HDNET has a coming attractions 1/2 hour show and InHD has one as well... best thing is they are all in HD!

Last week they said that it was the end of the show, the longest running show in E! History.

It's gone.

Too bad, I watched it from time to time, and enjoyed it.

They need to just give Michele Merkin her own show. And make it be mostly her modeling lingerie.

E! has gone from one of my favorite channels (back in its early days) to being one of the worst pure trash channels out there. I don't think there's a single show on E! that I'd spend so much as 2 minutes watching anymore.

Their buying of The Simple Life and pretty much anything Paris Hilton, only cements my opinion.

So you're saying she should host Wild On.

This is the first I've heard of this news! I think this was the only show I watched on E! Dammit. How can they cancel a 30-min show about movie trailers? That must have cost next to nothing to produce. It was a commercial.

I was going to say the exact same thing. While the movie looks pretty lame, the preview for Ice Age 2 was niiiiice!

Yeah its all about "Nothing But Trailer" nowadays. Coming Attractions was nice to have, but these days with the trailers all on Apple.com, guess it doesn't seem as important.

Agreed though that E! is mostly crap these days.

I used to watch this, but I stopped because trailers started giving away the whole movie. I pretty much stopped going to the theater too, so I'm now happily free of movie trailers.

^ Of course, now you have DVD covers that give away plot twists. Not to mention DVDs with unavoidable menu cut-scenes that give away plot twists.

Actually, I haven't seen it in years but the last time I did, they were showing about 1/2 (and that's being generous) new movies and 1/2 movies that are coming out on DVD. Pointless, IMHO.

More recently, they still showed DVD trailers, but limited it to one or two a week.
