Did you ever watch The Ellen Show in 2001?

I watched about 4 episodes and loved it. Thought it was Ellen Degeneres's best work ever. Great cast, great writing, and it flamed. They showed about 8 episodes of 18 or so that were taped, but never showed the others. I tend tot hink she tried to come back too soon, but man it was great.

Another one I would love to see come to DVD.

No, but I was a fan of her first show. Until the writing took a sharp nosedive, it was really good.

I watched it and liked it, but haven't really thought about it since. Entertaining, but not groundbreaking.

Okay, obviously I was one of the few. My obsession with Ellen must come to an end. I'd just like to be able to buy that series. You'd think they would at least air on Lifetime or something.

I only went with "saw it and liked it" because "saw it and loved it" wasn't an option. I prefer her first show, but I'd definitely buy The Ellen Show on DVD.

This was the show on CBS Friday nights....right? If so, thumbs way up here. I loved her old show, but felt the writing was pretty bad some times. Thought the CBS show was much better. And so was the cast. Too bad CBS stuck it on the worst night of television.

I didn't have the option because I thought I might look too biased.

I actually preferred this quite a bit to the old show (last two seasons of it anyway).
