Your Reproductive Organs and the Xbox360
Like many gamers I love to recline in my lay-z-boy in front of the TV and play hours of Xbox360. Thanks to the standard wireless controller this is all possible. BUT ive noticed that in a relaxed position my controler lays in my lap dangerously near my testilogical region.
Now, all joking aside, is it safe to have 2.4GHz coursing through my tender vittles? Isnt anyone concerned? Its a known fact that these organs ARE more vounerable to foreign radiation; therefore can the type of strong frequencies and extended exposure that come from the controller be harmful?
Ive heard even when plugged in, these controllers still use the 2.4GHz frequency to transmit data, and the cord is only for power.

I'd be more worried about the heat from the battery while charging it. I left one sitting on my bed when I went to make and eat dinner. Since the battery was low, I put it on the play and charge kit. I came back and picked up the controller, the batter was smoking hot and the bed was very warm as well.

Seriously, your brain is better sheilded from your cell phone but the boys just have fabric between them and the controller. And theyre exposed for HOURS at a time. Im seriously going to either change how i play or get some kind of metal between me and the controller

You don't know how true this is. My wife is complaining every day about it. One day a few weeks back she went to town and hid my controller to try and prove a point. That one almost ended in divorce.

This thread is classic. How much 360 are you playing? I could imagine seeing this thread 2 weeks from now when Oblivion comes out, but sheesh.
I honestly would not be that worried about it. If you are playing the 360 THAT MUCH.... you probably aren't using your 'boys' anyway.

Im not talking about sterility, isnt anyone worried about cancerous tumors? Say you already have a history of cancer in your family, would subjecting yourself to say, 3 hours a day of this kind of radiation be harmful at all? Nobody knows for sure. These controllers go through walls pretty well, im not sure tinfoil will help

Nobody knows for sure, but its valid concern I think. I heard the wire for the controller (charge n play cord) still uses wireless technology to play--the cord is just for power. Anyone know for sure?

If you're that concerned, they do make wired controllers. I don't think it's a serious issue because wireless signals are bouncing all over the place anyways.
You should be more concerned about the 6 wireless networks in range of your house, the cordless phones in your home as well as surrounding homes, the satellite signals, and the wi-fi hot spots that are becoming the norm.
Face it dude, your testicals are fucked.
