Who Has SC: Chaos Theory For The PC?

If you have it for the PC, does it play kind of clunky or stuttery?

Mine does at certain points and gets kind of annoying.

I'd like to know if it's just my computer or not. I do have the latest patches and my computer meets all the requirements. So I don't know why it plays this way.

Tell us what kind of computer your running(processor, video card, ram, etc.) and maybe me or someone else can help you out.

Here are my specs:

- Dell 5100
- Pentium 4 2.8 Ghz (HT)
- 1.5 DDR2 RAM
- GeForce 6800 256 Mbs

The game plays fairly well but when things get hectic everything becomes stuttery and becomes annoying. This happens even if I have the graphic settings on "very low." It's weird.

hmmm, I never heard of Splinter Cell being a computer hog such as games like Fear. Your computer seems to be adequate.

Funny, even before I upgraded my computer I had a mid-range system and it ran beautiful even at high resolutions with high settings in the graphics. Runs fine on a 2100+ with an x800, and runs great on a 2.8 p4d with a 6800.

Wow . . . that is weird. I knew something wasn't right.

Should I reinstall the game?

I have this game.

Runs smooth as butter. Max settings, AA 4x, AF 8X, 1280x1024, no problems whatsoever.

My gaming rig is

AMD 64 3500+
ATI X850 XT PE
1 gig of Ram

I would suggest to play with various video game settings.

BUT, let me ask you, HAVE YOU APPLIED OFFICIAL PATCHES? Make sure that you have the latest patch installed.

The latest patch is V1.05.

I hope this helps.

Yup, I have the lastest patch installed.

I think I'll try to just reinstall it and see what happens.
