Terry Gilliam's Personal Best -

So I picked up this DVD yesterday, based on a bunch of great reviews on the web. I already have all the Python DVDs from A&E, so the "personal best" series didn't really appeal to me, but when I found out that the Gilliam set was all-animated, I took the bait.

When I watched the disc, I was disappointed to see the entire program "framed" with a TV-set graphic.

Is this the case for all of the "personal best" series? What exactly was the point of this?
