Why no DVD reviews for Harry Potter Goblet of Fire?

I googled and searched on this site and no reviews yet. Usually the companies let sites put their reviews 1 week before the release. What's going on here?

Holly E. Ordway is going to be writing up the review for this one. I don't know when she received the disc, though. (Or if she even has it yet.) Sometimes the studios are really bad about sending discs out. Sometimes even the big studios will send product out the day it streets. You'd be amazed.

I'm not buying it til it's been confirmed that there's no flashing number anywhere, like there was on the last movie.

Anyone else besides me feel like the studio is screwing us this time? The other 3 movies all had 2 disc versions for the release date price around $15. This time they are putting out a 1 disc version around that price and if you want the 2 disc you end up paying around $5 more.

These two reviews seem to completely differ on the quality of the special features here. I'm still on the fence on which edition to get, but I've been leaning towards the one disc, as the only part that really grabs my interest are the deleted scenes. However, I felt that Goblet of Fire was much more solid in containing all plot points that were necessary to be cohesive to both the movie and what will be needed knowledge in the future films, unlike some scenes I felt left many open questions in Prisoner of Azkaban (points I don't believe were featured on the bonus features disc, anyway!).

The first review seems to be from someone who doesn't really have much invested in these films, however I have been horribly displeased with the reviews over at IGN in the last year or so. Their attitudes range from complete snobbism to reckless acceptance of crap, so I don't know that I can trust the raving over the supplements there.. guess I'll have to wait for some user reviews on this board.

As part of a way to track down bootleggers, Warner was nice enough to intentionally deface the print on Prisoner of Azkaban. In the scene were Ron's Father pulls Harry aside in the bar to talk about Sirius, you'll see a number on the lower left of the screen (under the poster) flash. There were a few different versions of the number. I had 301.

I'm sure someone with far more time on their hands than myself will eventually find a watermark on these.

Menu Access Issues

I just got the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire two-disc widescreen edition and had problems accessing the film by the menu. Although the menu would present itself, my machine would freeze-up when I tried gaining access to either the Play Movie, Scene Selection or Title Access. Has anyone else experienced this glitch? Disc 2 plays fine without any freeze-ups. Could this be my machine (an all region player) or some glitch on the disc itself?

Why at all a review is needed. all they do is criticize the movie in one otr the other form. no movie can ever suffice the need for a perfect film so why bother.

They are looking for a review of the dvd, how the transfer was, how it sounds, if there are playback annoyances, that kind thing. It has more to do with the disc than the film on it, hence why many like the reviews.

I watched the new movie and didn't see any crap on it. I'll check Azkaban for where the number comes up on that, it's during the first 15 minutes.
