Transamerica -----> 5/9/06

According to TLAVideo, Transamerica will be released on May 9th.
SRP is $28.99

Extras:
Bonus footage (“Travelin’ Through” music video by Dolly Parton)
Featurette (Behind-the-scenes of the making of the music video)
Audio commentary

I loved (LOVED!) this movie, and will definitely be buying this.
I was hoping for more extras though. Wonder who's on the commentary...

Didn't see this movie ... it'll be worth a rent, but it's probably subject matter that I wouldn't revisit numerous times.

I agree!

Finally got to see this last weekend and both Ms. Huffman and Kevin Zeggers' performances are wonderful!

If she stole the Oscar from Reese, I wouldn't be surprised...

I REALLY want to see this for Felicity's performance (big Lynnette fan), but the nearest it's playing is an hour away in SC.

I hope she does too (her performance was nothing short of amazing), but even if she doesn't, you should still check it out. It's truly a great film.

I will probably rent this, but from what I have read in several sources the material was really toned down to cater to mainstream America's 19th century values.

OMG, I just saw the cover art over at DDD:

I hope they come to their senses and change it.

Although I have to admit, I did get a giggle imagining this being bought or rented by someone who isn't familiar with the movie, and only knows Felicity Huffman from Desperate Housewives. Talk about being in for a shock.

Well, I finally saw Transamerica today.

Flawed, but makes up with phenomenal performances by Felicity and Kevin.

Yeesh, what is that, the optional Lynette cover for Desperate Housewives: Season 2?

EDIT: Now that I think about it, Felicity looks like the love child of Lynette and Mary Alice on that cover.

The release date has been pushed back to 5/23. From the press release:

Available for the suggested retail price of $28.95, Transamerica features a bloopers reel with over four minutes of hilarious footage, a feature length audio commentary with Director Duncan Tucker and two taped conservations between the director and stars Felicity Huffman and Kevin Zegers. Additional bonus features include the music video of Dolly Parton's Academy Award nominated song "Travelin' Thru" and the behind-the-scenes making of the music video.
Looking forward to the commentary, and the blooper reel.

And I thought the Breakfast on Pluto cover art was bad.

I hope this doesn't stick. The one-sheet art was so nice.

BoP's cover is downright horrific.

This is just kinda bad.

The lenticular cover to show the transformation from actress to character is an interesting choice....remember, they have to sell this to millions of people who watch "Desperate Housewives" and are usually put off by this kind of subject matter.

This is the main reason I print my own covers...if you don't like it, change it!

I'm looking forward to this release too. I've never watched Desperate Housewives, so I'm new to Felicity.

Considering it is TLAVideo releasing this, I'm imagining that a lot of video stores won't even order a copy since they're a rather small distributor that focuses on releasing GLTB themed films. Still that cover is hilarious - but the one with her facing the bathroom choices is by far a better cover.

Well, at least the cover isn't as disasterous as I thought.

However, Felicity will always look terrible as a brunette. Her as Lady Bird Johnson confirmed that on Thursday night.

So the cover is a Hologram? I just saw it on Amazon.com for the first time, and it was just the blonde Felicity Huffman, and I thought it was the most wrong represented cover I have ever seen...
