I think the powder eights would be a cool event. Granted, it's another subjective score, but there are so many events that are scored subjectively, so what's one more?

I just hope the tragic death of Dexter Rutecki isn't the reason it's not already part of the games.

Instead of just a snowboard halfpipe I'd like to see a snowboard terrain park.

Well since we already have cute young blond girls on snowboards, might as well just go ahead and make it bikini snowboarding.

Extreme snowboardcross, with landmines and tripwire.

I would like to see a biathlon-paintball hybrid. And more snowboarding.

Extreme Skiing. The kind where they jump off of a helicopter and then go down the mountain.

And soccer. But have it on ice. And use something other than a ball. Like a rubber block or something. Yeah that would be pretty popular. In Europe at least.

How does one do singles curling? Do you want half of the entrants to die once they get to 50km cross-country racing?

I like it though. It's more like a winter variation of Modern Pentathlon than the Decathlon.

How does one do singles curling?
You aim and curl all the rocks yourself. I believe traditionally there are no sweepers in singles curling, but I think if you can run down there and sweep your own rock, go for it.

I'd vote for:

5 on 5 Snowball Fight
Extreme Skiing / Snowboarding. Winter X Games-esque
Snow Golf (Florescent balls, played on a ski slope)
Downhill Skiing and Target Practice. I'm not talking cross-country...i'm talking about Double black level, maybe dropped from a helicopter to off piste trails.

How about the Triathlon? That's Biathlon + Ice Dancing. Instead of shooting the stationary targets, the skiers shoot moving Ice Dancers.

I was about to type that exact thought. I hate ice dancing and all those other events with judges. Screw that, I say. I like my Olympic events decided by who is fastest or who can jump the highest and farthest.

I also feel there should be two-man skiing and skating events where the teammates are tethered together. Think of how cool the falls would be.

Team snowball fights. Give the team of, say, 6 ten minutes to build a fort and prepare snowballs, with the forts maybe 30 yards apart.

If you're hit by a snowball you're out, last team standing wins. You can run wherever you want to (other than away, don't want to give the French an unfair advantage) - that is, you can run right up to the other fort if you want to.
