THE ELECTRIC COMPANY DVD: Superb, superb, superb!!!
Every TV box set should be like this.
Of course, it doesn't hurt to be a fan of the show, but Shout Factory's treatment of THE ELECTRIC COMPANY on DVD should be the template from now on doing box sets.
In it, we get four discs, spanning every single year of the show, starting with the PILOT and ending with the FINAL show.
All the different openings, all the different ending credits, complete with even the 1970's PBS logo that will make the Generation Xer remember how good TV was back then. Nothing seems to be edited out of the episodes (hello, Cosby and Roseanne DVD's?)
The extras, while not many, cover every aspect of the show - the creation, the acting, the writing, the music....Plus, the creators of the DVD seem to know the FANS of the show, cause there's a sprinking of plenty of SPIDERMAN and LETTERMAN throughout the collection.
Course, it's an excuse that I bought this for my four year old, but, well....
If you're on the fence about buying this, do not hesitate!
Now, let's see them do classic Sesame Street.
