International Police Agency Says 24 'Dangerous' Prisoners Escaped

LYON, France -- Interpol said Sunday that a man considered to be a mastermind of the USS Cole bombing is among those who have escaped from a prison in Yemen.

The international police agency has issued an "urgent global security alert" for Jamal Ahmed Badawi and 23 others who escaped from the prison Friday through a tunnel.

Interpol is calling the escapees "dangerous individuals."

A Yemeni security official announced the escape Friday, but provided few details. In a statement released Sunday, Interpol said at least 13 of the 23 escapees were convicted al-Qaida terrorists.

The USS Cole bombing killed 17 people in 2000.

The US should track, hunt, and then kill the people responsible for this terrorist attack. In the future, Speilberg may make a movie about that decrying the 'cycle of violence' but that is a risk that we should take.
