Picked up the NOTLD: Millenium Edition. Looks like several of these are getting price drops because they have a new release date of 2/21.

Some good deals/titles there. Thanks! Night of the Living Dead, Communion and Re-Animator are steals at those prices for those who don't already have them.

Seems like they left Tobe Hooper's "Eaten Alive" off the list, that's only about $6 too. Not bad, I liked that flick a lot. I'll be picking up Flesh Eating Mothers, Incubus, The Suckling and The Janitor - but that's only cuz I already bought most of those other ones. But I'd highly recommend most of the flicks on there. If you don't have ReAnimator - this is the time to get it! Under 9 bucks is insane for that great 2DVD edition.

Anybody ever seen "Fear Chamber"? It looks kind of interesting, but I'm not too into Karloff Mexihorror. Is that one of those that they more or less just edit him into the movie?

Does anyone know if that SWEET REVENGE double feature has the ME of I Spit On Your Grave or the old version?

From the back of the box, it looks like the old version:

Definately going to think about I Spit on Your Grave for that price, might jump on for Re-Animator as well.

It's the old version (non-ME). I'd go for the ISOYG ME instead. I didn't even think Don't Mess With my Sister was all that good. I kept waiting for the part where it got good (violent, interesting, etc) and it didn't really happen. It was more of a drama than a horror movie. The Joe-Bob commentary on the ME is pretty entertaining and informative if you like that sort of thing (if you know what i mean, and i think you do).

Got rid of my copy of I Spit on Your Grave, though I always felt it was a quality exploitation film. Re-ordered; thanks!

I picked up I Spit On Your Grave. Elite does some really nice work, particularly on their special editions. The one disc SE of Night of the Living Dead is an amazing disc. There was a time when it was really hard to find (OOP?) and went for a mint.

OT: Does anyone know the name of the horror movie where the zombies eat brains (and not necessarily flesh)? I remember watching it as a kid but never knew the title of the movie.

It would help if you said when you were a kid. 10 years ago? 20?

My all-time favorite commentary. The disc is easily worth the $8 for the commentary alone.

Has anyone ever seen Horror? I was thinking about grabbing this one. Thanks OP for pointing out this sale.

I did the same with Tobe Hooper's "Eaten Alive"...had it, sold it, regretted it, and now have rectified it. I'm a bit puzzled why it wasn't included in the on the sale page, since it's definitely the special sale price.

I must also suggest RE-ANIMATOR, and EITHER of their NOTLD editions, for those who've been curious about either of these classic horror films, you won't find a better deal. I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE is very disturbing. I love it. And UZUMAKI is also a really good film...creepy, atmospheric, excellent!

"Fear Chamber" is indeed one of the films in which Karloff is edited into the picture. I got it from Media Play (for five bucks---grrrr) during their closing sale. It is generally regarded as the best of those final films before his death----Walter Hill wrote and directed this one...and he does a commentary on the DVD. It's not too bad, and definitely worth the low price.

I read multiple reviews as linked through the DVD Basen site..."Horror" got mixed reviews, but it didn't seem like something I'd like. I did take the bait on the following from the Elite sale...

NIGHT TO DISMEMBER, A $ 4.23
POPCORN $ 4.23
THE JANITOR $ 6.33
SPLATTER UNIVERSITY $ 4.23
FLESH EATING MOTHERS $ 4.23
EATEN ALIVE $ 6.33
THAT LITTLE MONSTER $ 4.23
THE SUCKLING $ 4.23
THE INCUBUS $ 4.23

Also went ahead and ordered this...

ANTHROPOPHAGUS-GRIM REAPER $ 11.98

and finally took the bait and bought a few titles from the Universal 3-for-2 sale...

NIGHT PASSAGE
JOE KIDD
PLAY MISTY FOR ME
THE SENTINEL
AMAZON WOMEN ON THE MOON (CE)
THE FAR COUNTRY

All told, 16 films, at a total of $92.17.

I know about Narcotics Anonymous, and Alcoholics Anonymous...is there a DVD Addicts Anonymous program in existence? Perhaps I will found one.

Thanks, DonnachaOne! That's the one. I had a feeling the movie had "Living Dead" in the title but Romero's "Night of the Living Dead" threw me off. I also remember the movie looking very '80s so it has to be RotLD.

It could have been the 80's remake of Night of the Living Dead

What's the difference between the SE and ME of Night of the living Dead?

I saw that a few of you mentioned "Eaten Alive," and when I throw it into the search engine, this is the first thing that comes up: JUNGLE OF HORRORS (3PK)

Anyone know anything about this release? Because if it's decent, I definitely wouldn't mind dishing out a few more bucks to get two more movies in addition...

Speaking of that though I gave some more money to deep discount....I've got a problem lol:

Splatter University
Re-Animator
NOTLD SE
I Spit On Your Grave
House On Sorority Row
and Castle Freak (unrelated to the sale but still cheap)

The 'Eaten Alive' included in that set is a different film altogether. Still, a damn good price, though.
