Networking Xbox to PC

So, I am trying to figure out how to network my xbox to my computer. I have all the necessary components. What I would like to do, if possible, is transfer a few video files on my computer so I can watch them on my xbox. They are .avi files.

Can this be done.

I beleive that would involve modding your box...which isn't forum sanctioned.

No there is a workaround, go to the xbox.com forums and look for the answer there are many threads covering what you're looking for.

It already is modded but I don't see any harm in trying to transfer small video files from PC to Xbox

xbox scene is the place to get this sort of info. there are some great FAQs and guides.

Mods, if the following comments are off-limits, please delete with my apologies.

Basically, all you do is get your xbox's IP from your dashboard (I'm assuming evox). Then use an FTP program (like cuteFTP) to connect to the xbox. The username and password are both "xbox"
