How do you watch 24?

The new season started and I plan on skipping the whole thing until after the finale. I'm burning them to DVD so I can watch all the episodes straight. It seems to be the only show I can not watch 1 week at a time. The first 3 seasons I watched once they got to DVD, season 4 I watched during one of the summer marathons, and season 5 is gone to be off my burned DVDs - I've tried to watch all 24 episodes in a sitting but it usually takes 2x12episode sittings. I was wondering if anyone else was the same way. Or if I'm alone and everyone else is fine watching it week by week.

Err, all in one sitting should be something along the lines of what I posted above. Not necessarily all in a row, but after all the episodes are aired.

I am currently watching it week-to-week, but am considering just waiting taping 'em or waiting for the DVD. I watched the first three seasons on DVD and then watched last season as it aired. The show is more fun when watched in a few days, but hey, that's just me.

None of the above choices. I currently have all the current episodes on my DVR and have not watched any of them yet. I'm waiting to build up a buffer of episodes so that Ii would always be able to watch several episodes in a row if I want.

I watched Season 1 on DVD in about 6 days. Since then, I've watched every episode when they were aired.

DVD or FX/A&E marathons are the best way to watch 24, but you risk having it spoiled if you wait too long. Teri's fate was ruined for me in an article about the show during the summer hiatus between Seasons 1 and 2.

I watched the first three seasons on DVD. The fourth and fifth (currently) on TV each week.

I saw the first 4 seasons after they aired, in short spurts of about 4-5 episodes a sitting. That was a terrific way to do it, as it seemed like the suspense just continued to build and build. This is the first time I'm going to do it week by week.... kind of painful.

I time travel to the future and watch them in reverse order. In the next episode Jack will say "We're running out of time".

Please don't tell me what happen last week and ruin it for me.

I dont usually have a problem with spoilers - even after the fact - as I rarely go into discussions about the show. I was just asking to give me something to do as I'm not watching.

Side q: because I am too lazy to post a new topic. For those watching week to week and who have seen the Toyota Season 5 prequel, is that relevant at all? From what I can tell it didn't show anything of any use, though I can't be sure since I haven't watched any of the season.

I haven't seen a single episode yet. I've been meaning to rent the first season, but haven't gotten around to it. Once I do, I'll obviously be watching it on dvd.

I watched the first two seasons on DVD over about a week. The others I have either watced a few at a time or week by week. I would say I definitly enjoy them more when I watch them closer in time but at the last two seasons with not having breaks in the week to week airing schedule has not been bad at all.

Me too. I can't wait for episodes to build up, I need instant gratification. I do let te DVR record it and I don't start watching until the episode is about halfway over. That way I can skip all the commercials.

This is exactly what I do. Before I got the HD-Tivo, I typically would watch it live in HD rather than SD via Tivo.

I watch it time shifted on Monday nights and before this season, usually in FF>> mode. But this season I have not used FF at all, good return to season 1 form.

First 4 I watched on DVD (which is a great way to watch them but leads to lack of sleep).

Now that I'm caught up, I'm watching them as they air.

I begin watching from my DVR 15 minutes after it starts. That way, I'm caught up to the episode by the time it ends, skipping commercials.

I had never seen any season of 24 before and started to watch season 5 on TV when it started a few weeks ago. Now I am hooked, so I bought Season 1 this week and watched half of the episodes already. I was thinking of stopping the tv viewing of season 5 until the DVD comes out, but I am in too deep... I NEED to know what happens next.
