Movie Trading Company No-Artwork DVDs

Anyone go to Movie Trading Company? They only have locations in Colorado, Georgia, Texas, and Utah. They're owned by Blockbuster.

Blockbuster dumps a lot of unwanted DVDs there as "no-artwork" DVDs and MTC sells them for $2-5. You have to dig through boxes and boxes of crap, but it is possible to find good movies in there. I've found Six Feet Under season 1, Girl with a Pearl Earring, Grave of the Fireflies (2-disc), Capturing the Friedmans (2-disc) and Henry V (Branagh) in there. I went to the Preston and Belt Line location in Dallas on Sunday and the no-art DVDs were $2.99, with some titles at $1.99. Ten titles for $27.

They usually TV box sets, broken up, in there. Sometimes you can find a whole set, sometimes you can't. YMMV.

Movie Trading Company is the most ass DVD store ever. Half of the stuff I bought there when they first came to Houston had to be taken back because it was scratched to hell.

I've bought about 3-4 regular used DVDs and about 9-10 no-artwork DVDs, and the ones I've watched (haven't finished SFU and one no-artwork DVD) have worked fine for me.

Their prices overall are nothing special though.

i hate that they lock up their boxsets behind glass, with the spines facing out and the price tags on the front.
