Overstock had a similar price for the set and was a preorder and they ended up cancelling the orders. Overstock differs from Amazon by the fact that Overstock charges the cards at time of order while Amazon charges at time of shipment. The people who got their orders cancelled received a $5 gift for their next Overstock purchase, so at least something was gained from it.

Yes, but apparently most of the people that paid with BILL ME LATER got their sets. It's only the CC payments that were cancelled.

Even if only 50% of the FW'ers who read the thread there had even made a purchase, and then all had limited it to a single copy, there was still ZERO chance that this would be honored. It is Amazon - they never honor shit when a bunch of people take advantage.
So the guy who ordered 150, he didn't screw you over any more than the guy who ordered 1. The guy who DID screw you over is the one who posted it to FW in the first place.
For the record, this deal was posted to the anime thread here long before it was posted to this thread or to FW.

I don't know why anyone goes into these deals thinking they're actually going to go through in the first place, especially since with Amazon they rarely do. You should start thinking of it in more of a, "Well, if it goes through, great, but if it doesn't, there's really no loss." It's not worth getting so disappointed over. I mean, sure, it would've been awesome had they honored it, but what are the chances?
Anyway, I got the cancellation e-mail just now, too.

I haven't been able to find an answer, what is a "sourcing fee"?
