and I've got to admit... I'm a bit creeped out by it.
It seems like it could be an interesting movie though... any thoughts?

..and you're right on the mark on the Audition angle. But the only problem I can see is...neither person is worth rooting for/feeling sorry for. So it'll be interesting to see how they treat both charecters and how you're supposed to react to them.

I read somewhere the basic premise of the movie. I dont want to spoil it but let's just say that the girl gets the upperhand and it goes from there.

Probably should have them, but that does happen about 20 minutes into the movie and it is kind of revealed in the trailer.
As for the film
It had a very intense and psychologically intriguing first hour but I feel it went very downhill from there. Basically, the girl pretends to castrate the guy, but in reality she never operated on him. She then calls his ex-girlfriend who he is still in love with and tells him that unless he kills she will tell her all about his child pornography. He ends up doing killing himself. The film works well as a two character play for its beginning, but it, in my opinion, rapidly devolves when it tries to explain why the girl is doing what she is doing and the level of guilt of the man. Still worth seeing for the amazing performances.

the IM movie was cry_wolf, and if you're comparing the two, you need to actually watch cry_wolf or read the premise of this one. on that note, i can'twait for this one. and as someone said, this movie is supposed to make you choose between two evils so it's a lose/lose situation. depending on your views, i think this movie will be hit or miss. i personally think it's original and clever. can't wait.
