I'd also like to know, where I can get DVDs with spanish tracks here in the US.

If by "most" you mean "DVDs in the USA", it's becase they are marked as Region 1, which is USA and Canada. French is an "official language" in Canada, therefore English and French are the primary languages available to R1 DVDs.

Mexico is Region 4, but yeah it makes more sense to put Spanish tracks on R1 discs as Spanish is slowly taking over the US no matter what people think.

I tell you what - half the DVDs I have here in Australia have Spanish dubs! Russian and Chech as well, which is strange for our region, though many are dual regions, as well as Hindi and even Yidish!
being German, it's an added bonus if I get a German track cos I can watch the movie slightly differently as you can't translate any language 100% because of all the cultural and social differences, what's funny in English may be vapid in German or vice versa.

I have listened to some French language tracks, but it was just for fun and to see if any of those two years of college French stuck with me.

It's kind of odd, that Ridley Scott's Legend (Ultimate Edition) doesn't have a French dub, since I have a VHS copy of the European version that is French language dub that really makes the film really quite poetic and lyrical.

a fellow québécoise!! (user of mtlDVD ?)...

I'm form north shore

back to topic...

I usualy listen to the original language track...

if foreign language (other than english or french, as example, Das Boot and Ong Bak) I set the subtitles especially if a DTS track is present !!...

I hate the unsynchonised mouth movements of dubs...
