Broken Street Date Alert: The Aristocrats and Big Fat Independent Movie!

Just a heads-up!

Wandered into Wal-Mart a few minutes ago for a little before-bed shopping and found The Aristocrats and My Big Fat Independent Movie staring back at me. Had to pick up Aristocrats. Independent Movie I'm not so sure on.

This will vary from Wal*Mart to Wal*Mart so YMMV.

My Best Buy had The Aristocrats out early today too. I didn't see MBFIM, but then again I wasn't looking for it.

I'm a little surprised WM is carrying this. Isn't it a "real" unrated movie, as in beyond an R? They seem to only carry the ones that wouldn't get an NC-17.

yeah, very surprised wal mart is carrying "aristocrats" if you have read or heard any variations of the joke, you'd agree. it be funny to see older people who might like a few of the comedians mentioned on the front cover, and buy it blind, and then turn it off within hte first 5 minutes (george carlin's version i believe)

Forgive me, but what exactly is the joke that the movie is about? (Spoilers of course)

For the record though, I didn't think the South Park version was as good as some of the more heavyweight comedians... it gets even funnier. I'd recommend this flick to anybody who could stomach the language and references. Really funny stuff.

if you have kids or hell anyone ofended by langauge, avoid the south park link

here's an excerpt
A man enters a talent agency and states he has a family act he'd like to pitch. He then goes on to describe what he and his family do on stage, (insert whatever gross and vile thing that you can think of ) leaving the agent shocked and then asking what the man could possibly call the act. The pitchman then proudly states, "The Aristocrats."

I got My Big Fat Independent Movie shipped to me free from work...I'll probably never watch it - it just looks plain HORRIBLE.
