I Love Lucy Season 6 $28 at Amazon

The 6th season of I Love Lucy is showing a MSRP of $39.99 instead of $59.99
that the other seasons are selling for. Amazon has it for $28 . All sites that have it up for preorder are discounting from $39.99 MSRP.

Maybe the other seasons will be reduced to that price when Season 6 is released in May.

Edit: As noted below price has been reduced to $26.99 and MSRP is now showing as $38.99.

Nope. There are Six Seasons. Season 5 was released a few months ago and contains the Ricardos European vacation episodes. Season 6 is when the Ricardos move to Connecticut.

I did a price search, and noticed that other online stores are selling this in the 28.00 range, too. Wonder why this season is cheaper than previous seasons?

Maybe but as you yourself noted Season 1 re release has 7 discs and sells for the same price as the 5 disc seasons 2 - 5.
It is just as likely that the other season sets will be reduced in price when season 6 is released. Kind of like Friends where the first few seasons were released at a high price and later seasons at a lower price. The first few seasons' price was then reduced.
