Big Lebowski Achievers Edition? OOP? $$$?

Well... I was in borders today and noticed this sitting on the shelf, only one copy. I seem to remember hearing that it was OOP and selling for some cash... It was $40 at borders? Is it worth buying? (to re-sell now or in the future?)

They still have them in my Best Buy stores. $40 to purchase, to turn a $10 or $15 profit isn't worth it.

So the reason it is out of print is because it was a limited edition to begin with?

OOP= Out of Print = no longer being printed

Limited Edition= there is a set number of copies that will be made.

Anything can be called LE, really. Sometimes LE items are extremely limited, sometimes they're readily available. Most of the time it's just a marketting gimmick to lure in impulse buys.

So no, it's not the same thing as OOP.

and the fact that someone thinks The Big Lebowski will be worth something puts a smile on my face.

IE: War of the Worlds 2 Disc Limited Edition = Readily available for 25 bucks out of your pocket. Don't believe the hype too often on the limited edition and oop titles as they are not all worth the effort in trying to turn a profit.

I am a fan of The Big Lebowski, and I only bought 1 box set, knowing fully well that it was going to go OOP. I paid about $50 for it, wasn't going to cough up $100 on 2 sets simply because one day it might become hard to locate and rare. Plus, it's a nice box set, but as a fan I was disappointed slightly. So 1 is enough for me.......

I haven't seen this out anywhere at my local shops since the release date. Are these worth investing on?, no. They are not that rare yet.
