Anyone know where i can order one of these? i guess they're sold to businesses as promo items. i googled, but only came across bulk sellers (minimum order of 25) and can't seem to find anyone on ebay selling it either.

I've seen shades like that at KMart and Walmart, with various pictures on them - I even had a Looney Tunes set a while back. They didn't pivot back into shape very well after a few uses though.

Hi. Don't know if this will help or not but...

From googling, this is *apparently* the company that manufactures the Prest-O-Shade:
Auto-Sun-Shade/Intertek® 401 SE 11th Ave • Hialeah, FL • 33010
1-800-874-2330 • http://www.intertekline.com/
Maybe give them a call and see if they sell their product to individuals or maybe they can tell you if any stores like Wal-Mart, Pepboys, etc, carry their product? (The website is not very helpful. Looks like it's mainly to showcase their products to the promo companies.)

Also from googling: This company is apparently selling a 'prest-o-shade', but with their own company's logo on it. http://www.crowleycompanystore.com/product_detail.cfm?item__code=43. From the picture, it's not exactly like the one you've pictured above, but it might be worth a look anyway. I didn't see any minimum qty requirements, but I only looked around a little bit. And I'm not familiar with that company, just from googling. They looked legit, but you might want to check them out a bit before ordering anything.

And as one of the other posters mentioned, I've also seen similar types of sun shades at various stores. Costco, Wal-Mart, Target, etc. I, myself, have one that's kinda similar that I got from Costco. I've had it for five years and it still works perfectly.

Good luck :)

Wow, I might have to order a few of those for family gifts, that's my last name!

I occasionally see knock-offs of this shade at the 99 cent only stores in L.A.

Thanks, PoolSide, unfortunately that's one of the sites that state a minimum order of 25... unless anyone cares to do a group buy, it's a deal killer (although i wouldn't mind buying a "DVD Talk" branded one... *hint* *hint* *nudge* *nudge* ;)). i've checked out Kmart, CostCo, Checkers, and other places, but all they have are the ones with 2 separate panels or the round, floral design 2 pack that folds open (but has no support in the middle and usually sags). i guess i'm gonna have to do a patch-up job on the one i got - it's got a tear in the middle of the right panel.
Anyway, thanks for the help guys.

Just found a link to order a free sample from them... not sure if they will send me one, but I figured it's worth a try - they look nice.

Note - the 25 minimum doesn't look quite right - looks like there is a $55 fee to get your logo on there, on top of the order price.

My free sample from 4imprint arrived. Seems to work well, though I thought there was a button to push to make it collapse and there isn't - you have to hold the sides and twist.

I won't actually have any use for the thing until summer, but at least I'm ready now and can toss the piece of crap sunshade I had been using.
