Unless someone knows of another edition, the last SE was pretty sweet. Lynch supervised the transfer so I'm not sure he'll revisit the movie any time soon... but it's just my guess.

I am under the impression that Lynch isn't real big on supplemental material anyway, so I can't see much of an improvement on the current SE with it's director supervised transfer

I wouldn't expect a new release of BV any time soon, if ever. The next release will probably be in HD.

Dear God, I hope not. I hate double dips and the current SE release is fine, thank you (in fact, it's quite excellent-- one of my favorite DVDs!).

As if any other Lynch film needs a new special edition. What about Lost Highway? I mean come on, we need a nice sweet Lynch approved region 1 release of that film more than any other Lynch film. The new R2 dvd is nice, but it's not the definitive edition of Lost Highway. There is always room for improvement in that department.

Anyone here know if Blue Velvet and Wild at Heart still come with the slip covers?
