Also, if you pick up any of the later books, like any of the New Jedi Order books, they have a timeline of all the novels in the first couple of pages.

They may not be the best sci-fi books ever written, but they pass the time. I just started re-reading them all again, because it's been years since I've read a lot of them. Some of them are pretty decent. :)

If after that, you won't want to touch a Star Wars "novel" with a ten-foot pole. You'll have had a taste of real science fiction.

I honestly think that a lot of people don't know any better. I'm all for these books getting kids and other non-readers started, but I also hope they graduate to real novels over glorified fanfic.

Are you suggesting that discussion on the merits of the series isn't appropriate here?

No. He asked which books dealt with Leia's kids. Not personal opinions on the series. Those are by definition, threadcraps.

Like Xander said, the entire timeline can be had in every book up until its release, so pick up or check out at the library the newest one to view the entire run of the series. The twins were born in the Timothy Zahn trilogy, so just follow the timeline, check out the books that take place about 10 years after that, they start figuring prominently in the plots. Anything prior to 10 years is just "bad guy kidnapping the children" plots.

They are pretty strong characters in the New Jedi Order, a 18 or 19 book series.

They also have their own series of teen novels called "Young Jedi Knights"

*edit - sly, all kinds of posts removed while I was typing. Went from a 10 post topic to 3.
