Narnia and Kong are clearly the 2 December favorites. This could be their last weekend of $30 million totals considering schools will be back in session very soon. Good to see Harry Potter still having success.

Jesus. Has there ever been a back and forth battle like this before?

Looks like all the films benefited during the 4 day weekend.
King Kong: $174 million domestic, $396 million worldwide....for those scoring at home.
Chronicles of Narnia continues to dominate. Now up to $224 million on its way towards $300 million.
Geisha, FWDAJ, and Cheaper 2 are doing better than I thought.
Walk the Line is closing in on $100 million...now has $92 million
Match Point played on 8 screens and averaged a whopping $64,625 per screen giving it $399,000.
Brokeback Mountain earned another $4.7 million during the 4-day for $15 million total
Capote passed $12 million.
Munich is up to $15.6 million and has done very steady business. Looks like it could turn a profit when all is said and done.

match point is doing huge numbers... All 3 theaters here in Nyc have been consistently sold out since it opened. I wonder how it will fare with the rest of the country.

"Match Point" doesn't get here until January 20th, and I've been waiting a year for this film. It irks me so much when I hear it's the new Woody Allen film with Scarlet Johannson. . .no, it's the new Woody Allen film with Jonathan Rhys Meyers.
