I prefer them in the main section.

It's not a super busy forum and I don't really want to check another area.

Just kill this area, was a poor idea from the start given the relatively low traffic the VG forum gets in general.

Just post the announcements in the main area.

Geoff said this was done as publishers wanted to see an announcement area, but that does no good if no one is looking at the announcements.
