Good movies for new years eve?

ive got a few friends coming over for new years, and need a few suggestions (they are either in high school or college and mostly male)
and rating isn't an issue
i'd like a couple comedies and a couple of action movies.

Comedies would be Porn Bloopers

Action: Conquest or Virtual Orgy 2

Strange Days. IIRC, that movie was set on NYE.

The criminally not-on-dvd Get Crazy, a terrific little move, is set on New Year's Eve. But you can't watch it unless you've got a TV recording or an out-of-print VHS tape.

So to keep my post from being completely irrelevant :

I kinda liked 200 Cigarettes, set on NYE, but it's pretty quirky ... not for everyone.

I haven't seen End of Days but I think the finale is set on NYE. That's a pretty mainstream action picture but I don't think it's regarded as one of Arnold's best.

Assault on Precinct 13 (2005) is set on NYE. I don't know if the 1976 original is.

It has nothing to do with NYE, but I recommend checking out "Serenity". It's far greater than anything listed above. Although, "Conquest" and "Virtual Orgy" sound very interesting.

Strange Days if you want one about New Year's Eve, or maybe the original Ocean's Eleven.

Last year I started at 1:00PM and watched all of the LOTR EEs back to back. Had a couple of breaks, but geez!!! This year will not be the same, I hope.

2001!? For a bunch of high school / college kids!!!???

It's difficult for me to imagine anyone combining watching 2001 with staying awake until midnight, let alone a bunch of young guys.

Oddly enough When Harry Met Sally sprang into my head when I see this thread. It likely has NY scene in it then.

Oops, my bad. Should have scanned OP a little closer.

Scratch my original answer, and roll with T2 and True Lies ... Oh wait, time's up ...

For me its almost always been Blade Runner maybe cuz City TV here in the Toronto area always had it on at 12:05 although they havent done that for many years but i would always put on my vhs copy of it out of tradition i guess.Problem now is i dont even have a vcr and i dont like the directors cut of the movie as much as the theatrical so i had to change plans this year and i went with the Big Lebowski so maybe that will be a new tradition.
