Christmas has come and gone, and now I'm stuck with a house full of toys that need batteries. I'd like to find a good deal on a good charger and batteries, especially one that does Nickel Metal Hydride (NMH) batteries. Many of the toys my sons have need C and D size batteries. I went to Radio Shack yesterday, and they want $30 for the charger, and $18 for 2 (yes 2) D size NMH batteries. So any help finding a better deal would be appreciated!

Check SamsClub or CostCo. I got 8 AA WITH Charger for $20. I didn't look for C or D batteries though.

Yeah, I bought the same charger at Costco, but they don't have anything that does C or D size batteries.

I think I have seen a set at my Wal-Mart that includes some sort of spacers that lets you turn AAA or AA batteries into C and D batteries. I have also seen an Engergizer recharger set at Target from time to time that covers C/D. I don't recall any prices on any of this, unfortunately. My gut tells me they're probably cheaper than Radio $hack, though.
