New to gaming, suggestions needed.
I just got a regular X-Box. The last system I owned was Super Nintendo and before that was the old Gemini system that played the Atari 2600 games. Obviously I am not a big gaming person. What I want is the old atari games and some classic arcade ones. What are the best ones out there? I would also like a Poker one and a Pool one.
Does Quake exist for X-Box? I only seem to find Q4 and that is for 360. Thanks in advance.

If you like Quake (shooter) style games then I got two of them for ya. HALO & HALO 2!! The best FPSs on any console anywhere...... They say you can get Halo 2 at ToysRus and Blockbuster for only $9.99. I went and they were sold out.... Regular price is $29-39 I believe......
I don't think the original Quake is available btw....

Ordered the Atari Anthology and Taito Legends so far.
I will look into Halo. I remember playing Quake a few years back on PC and I saw Q4 advertised for 360 so I figured i'd ask. I sort of liked that game.

IF you like games like Quake the Xbox is a great system to own. Here is a great website to help you see both what is out there and what is good in each genre: http://www.gamerankings.com.

Half-Life 2 - I was amazed at what a great job they did translating this from the PC to the Xbox - it might not have any multi-player, but it's single player game blows away Halo's.

Better titles in general? If so(not mentioned)...
Burnout 3 is must-own. Best racing game this generation.
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time - Adventure game with puzzle elements, fighting is simple and pretty much anyone could pick it up and have fun.
Beyond Good & Evil - Adventure game in the same vein as Zelda, great story, great characters, great graphics, fun gameplay, it has it all.
Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay - FPS with adventure elements, also great story, great characters, great graphics, fun gameplay, it has it all.
All of which can probably be had for around $10 used.

I ordered the Taito Legends and Atari Anthology with the console. Just placed an order for Namco 50th, Unreal Championship 2, Midway Classics and World Championship Poker 2. This should keep me busy for quite some time.

Burnout 3 is probably the funnest game I've played all year, and great for multiplayer. There's something for everyone in it.
X-Men Legends 1 is one of the best party games (4 player) there is. The story is cool, and being the X-men is awesome.
Those are more modern games that you'd probably enjoy.

You should get at least one or two games that use the hardware to it's fullest potential.

This may not be the best game to start back up with. The controls in this game are aweful. You'd get frustrated really fast. I think the Halo's would be a good start, but even those can be a bit much for someone who's been away as long as you have.
