Last night I called around to Walmarts and one told me they were for sure getting them in stock by 10pm. So I head over at 9pm, wait for 2 hours and they never put any out. I ask the electronics guy if there'll be any coming and he says they got some in but they'd already sold. I was like 'I've been standing here for 2 hours and haven't seen a single one' and then he got a little funny and said he meant they had some in over the weekend.

More annoying was 2 nights ago, when a Walmart an hour away told me they had three in stock that hadn't been put on the floor yet. I drive all the way there, the guy in electronics recognizes me from our phone conversation and is like, 'hey man, I'll go grab one for you. You wanted the Premium, right?' So I wait about 20 minutes and he comes back all confused saying they aren't where he'd seen them in back, but he's positive they couldn't have sold yet as they'd have to be checked into his department first. He eventually calls the store manager, who informs him he must have been mistaken because they didn't receive any systems. He told her he knew what they looked like and he'd seen three of them come off the truck a couple hours ago, to which she continued to respond that he was mistaken. Pretty shady. When he got off the phone with her, he hypothesized that maybe she or some other managers had decided they needed Xbox's for the holidays.

Anyway, despite my bad luck, I'm giving Walmart one last shot tonight. It's one that told me they'd for sure be getting a shipment tonight. I'd be apt to disbelieve them, but that specific store remains the only place I've actually seen a system for sale (there were a handful of people in line buying them over the weekend), so I'm inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Just got back from work at Best Buy.

We got a memo saying that All stores will be receiving shipments of the XBOX 360 this week. There is no definite day which we'll get them, but they said that the day we receive it, we can not sell them. They will save them for the next morning and that is when they will be for sale. The manager is suppose to stand outside and hand out tickets to those that want to purchase one. So call in everyday. My store gets shipments at approximately 12 in the afternoon.

If I were you max, I'd get a regional manager's number and make a fuss about it. Two times that you had for certain been told that there were systems only to have them mysteriously disappear. You know that the greedy employees/managers snagged them to make a quick buck, or they are holding them for friends family to purchase when they mysteriously show up for them.

I can see the manager at my Best Buy doing this. It's so messed up over there, I can only imagine how bad they'll screw this one up.

My wife left a message on my voicemail at 7:50 this morning and said "they have a 360 at walmart".

That was helpful.

I don't want to drive all the way to Wal-Mart to check, especially since they're 24 hours so if they had any, they'd be gone.

Might check Sam's in a couple of hours, though.

She didn't buy it? That bites.

My Sam's says they have 16 on order but are unsure when they will arrive.

OOS at walmart. Plus, man, what a bundle. At least you get to pick the games, but they tack on a surround sound system. Premium bundle at least 1000.

Anyone get today's Woot? It was a 12-month Xbox Live account, the Skies game, and headset, most of which is supposed to be compatible with 360.

So, what do people think EBAY prices will be after X-mas? They already seem to be coming down.

Maybe $500 tops for a premium for 2 weeks, then should be back to normal.

I tried to get in on the Wal-mart deal but, every time I added it to my cart it said there was a problem. I tried both a premium and core system and still no dice.

I went to Wal-mart last night around 10:00pm. That is clearly when they start stocking new shipments. I saw a couple of boxes that could have been 360s but, the guy said they hadn't received any. I may check again tonight.

Yes, I was going to order the one from computers4SURE, but I passed...I figure I could not make any money on it. Yes, sue me, I want to make money....it would help supplement X-mas gifts.

Good Luck to everyone though...great system

Oh, she probably wasn't there, just heard it second hand I'm sure. I haven't been able to follow up with her.

And I don't know which of the 3 WM's that I work within 10 off.

That's because they're the same company.

So, my Kmart order is still "active" but says I am supposed to get it in Feb 06. I thought it would be cancelled. Might I get a surprise on my doorstep in a couple months?

I broke down and ordered the KB bundle. Not that bad considering, and there are only two games there that I don't want. Those I'll try to trade in somewhere...

I was going to order the KB bundle for my bosses kids, but even with $60 shipping it wouldn't get here before Christmas.

I was surprised my boss was willing to throw down that kinda moola...
