Anything new in the sale? The sale itself (it's actually just a page that links to a series of sales, including temporary price cuts, studio specials, permanent blowouts, etc.) has been going on for months.

Hmm... I just got a $5 Amazon gift card for doing a survey. I'll have to look these over.

I like these movies, but I don't see reviews here. Are any of these worth getting, or are they just bad early releases?

Poltergeist
Logan's Run
Falling Down
Demolition Man

well most of them are in snappers, so that's probably the reason why they're so cheap.

Being in a snapper doesn't really bother me. I'm looking for picture quality. And widescreen/OAR. Extras are nice, but not necessary.

I own Falling Down and Demolition Man - both are anamorphic widescreen with trailers. I can't imagine either will be re-released anytime soon, so if you're a fan of either flick, I'd say go for it. FYI, Falling Down was one of the $3.xx titles at Walmart, tho it may be priced at $5.50 in-store now.

Last time I had browsed the selections I discovered that Amazon doesn't list all the titles they have for $6.97. I picked up Terminator 2 Extreme Edition and Dune (3 Disc Mini-Series) both for $6.97. I added The Fifth Element Ultimate Edition for $11.97 to get to $25 and free shipping. Since then Wal Mart now has The Fifth Element UE for $9.44.

^ Yeah, but my gift card is for Amazon.

I've been waiting on getting some of these - mainly Poltergeist and Logan's Run - in hopes of new releases with improved transfers.

Here are 3 of the 6.97 DVDs that are considerably cheaper than anywhere else (to my knowledge), and might be worth considering:

Every Which Way But Loose (Clint Eastwood)
Any Which Way You Can (The Sequel)
The Foundation (2004 NBA All-Star Game + Rookie Game + 9 Player Profiles)
