I got my early Christmas gift from my girlfriend and I was shocked to find out that it is a sealed Ultimate Terminator 2 Edition SEALED and I asked her if she got it on E-Bay and she said no, she got it at FYE in Boston and there was many copies of them, I thought they can only be found on E-Bay but I guess not but I am shocked but that was a nice Christmas gift, now I have the Ulimate and Extreme Edition, hell yeah! :thumbsup: :D2:

True. I tell everyone I know NEVER buy a DVD for me because I either a) have it already or b) they're gonna get the wrong one.
I tell them to just give me gift cards. It'll end up going towards a DVD anyways.

If I request DVD's as gifts, I always send a link to the amazon page so they know exactly what the cover looks like. If I know there are multiple versions (i.e. Twilight Zone), I try to make that painfully apparant.

I loved T2 when I saw it at the theater. I have both versions...but sadly I'm so behind on my DVDs...I haven't watched them yet. If I remember correctly...doesn't the Ultimate Edition have a really cool easter egg? I think it's an early cut of the movie if you enter the date the first movie was released.

I seem to remember seeing a non-slipcase version of the Extreme Edition at Best Buy very recently, and the cover looked just like the cover for the old UE under the metal slipcase.

or c) you could get it cheaper. People who would buy DVDs as gifts would end up picking them up at the first stores they go to, without hunting around for bargains or waiting for sales. This would especially be true if they are the type to put off buying them until the last minute. "I can't find this DVD anywhere, what should I do? Oh, Suncoast has it!"

I originally had the EE with the metal case. It shredded the keepcase. When I had to exchange it because of a scratch, I went with the cardboard. The only metal case I have and actually like is the one for the original Highlander.
And I also have seen the EE out there without a slipcase of any kind.

Both had metal slipcases at one time. The metal case for the UE was nicer and didn't damage the keepcase. The UE came in a 2 disc version and a single double sided disc version.

The 2 "sealed" cardboard T2 at the right part of this photo below were gifts to me also by my girlfriend (the extreme edition was gift from her back in Feb. while the Ultimate Edition was last Thanksgiving). Thank goodness she knows me pretty well that Im meticulous when it comes to dents/scratches and she provided me the most pristine packaged ones.
Oh, since it was already given to me (and after seeing this thread), I asked her about the price and were she bought T2:Ultimate Edition. She told me that she bought it at FYE in Temecula,CA for $12.99.

the DTS track on the Special Extended Edition...is it kinda low during the talkie parts and then picks up steam during the blow up parts? i am talking really fluctuating. i am not sure if this is a known thing or just me.
