Some previously $20 WB TV boxsets for $13.72 @ Wal-Mart (YMMV)

Dropped by for a late night run and found this nice little deal. These were the ones I saw specifically:

Dallas Seasons 1&2
Dukes of Hazzard Season 1/2
Everybody Loves Raymond Season 1/2
Friends Season 1
Nip/Tuck Season 1
Smallville Season 1/2

And apparently it doesn't extend out to some of the other sets that were originally a part of the sale. Everwood, ER, Gilligan's Island, Lois & Clark, Without a Trace, and Wonder Woman were all still at $20.

As always, WalMart is a YMMV thing. I've seen these sets for $20 at most WalMarts round here.

I didn't scan it last night, but the sign still read $20 at my Wal-Mart.

Wow, that's good. I thought the $18.88 prices were good at Target a few months ago when I picked those up. I guess I should have waited since I haven't even opened the package on most of them still.

I scanned Friends Season 1 today at the Walmart in Newburgh, NY and it came up the regular price ($19.86).

I usually have that problem. Buy it cheap, it sits on the shelf, and then 6 weeks later it is even cheaper. Not this time.

I snagged Smallville S1 at Target for the $18 back then, just finished watching it last night, so I'm headed back to Wal-Mart to check the price on S2.

My Walmart had the $13.72 price tags up for the Dukes of Hazzard,
Friends, Nip/Tuck and Smallville sets mentioned, but the only thing they actually had in stock was Dukes of Hazzard Season 2.

Online stores are still selling Smallville for 29 dollars, but will they eventually bring down the prices too? I was thinking of buying Smallville S1-S3, but if they're gonna bring down the prices for (at least) 10 bucks per set, that means 30 dollars more in my pocket, or S4 on my shelf too...

The Philadelphia Inquirer had a half-page, full-color ad this morning that showed season 1 of the following series at $13.72:

SMALLVILLE
THE DUKES OF HAZZARD
FRIENDS
NIP/TUCK

If my memory is correct, all of the above are also eligible for the Warner TV-on-DVD box set rebates as well.

D'oh! I mentioned to my wife I was going to run to Wally world to get Smallville season 2 since I just finished season 1. She bought it for Christmas already.

So season 3 is going for cheap as well? Might have to check that one out.

Smallville seasons 3 and 4 are $22 and change at Sam's Club in Dayton. YMMV.

I spit coffee all over my keyboard when I saw "Deadwood" for $13.72.

Even on sale, the first season of Deadwood runs closer to $65.

Thanks for correcting that OP!

Thanks, the ad was in the Living section of the AJC today (Saturday, December 17). I'll PM Nop/Tuck at Best Buy.

PS- The ad contains these DVDs at $13.72:
Batman Begins (1 disc)
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (1 disc)
House of Wax
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants
Smallville Season 1
Friends Season 1
The Dukes of Hazzard Season 1
Nip/Tuck Season 1

I saw this the other day and was about to post.

I have an interesting question and if no one knows I might post in DVD Talk. When I saw Smallville S2 there were only two left. I usually try to tilt the packages to make sure there aren't any lose disks. But the strange thing is one package was heavier than the other and had a different price sticker. It also just felt different. Is there a difference between printings? I hope it the lighter one isn't missing a disk as those situations are usually hard to explain.

the colored inserts between the clear cd holders inside the packaging was missing in the one that was lighter. I have 4 seasons, 3 of them have colored inserts that go between the cd holders trays, but on one of them the inserts are missing so the cd holders that you flip through are clear. Looks alot better with the inserts because they match the rest of the packaging. Heavier=better

Don't know if this makes sense but open up a smallville seaspn case and you'll see what i mean.

can someone please post a scan of the ad. i think itll make things much easier when price matching at circuit city to get that extra 10% of the difference. hopefully i'll be able to get some of these for 10 bux. thanks.
