Since I've been the one to post about this in the past, asking "when, when, when", I would like to be the first to say...
IT'S...ABOUT...FUCKING...TIME!!!!!!

Interesting choice of cast listing order on that cover. I don't think I would have had Tsutomu Sekine on the front cover at all, let alone listed before John Cleese!

No mention of Samantha Bond and Jim Broadbent? (considering they would mention Tsutomu Sekine even though he is a star in Japan, he had a throw away role)

Does anyone know if this DVD is really coming out tomorrow? Amazon has a listing, but CD Universe and some other stores do not, and Netflix doesn't have a release date for it either.

Well damn,
Anyone able to find this today? I have af feeling it's been pushed back. Amazon now says "usually ships within 4 to 6 weeks". Best Buy and Circuit City do not have a listing for it.
Bummer

I stopped at my local Meijer on my home from work right after midnight and didn't see it in the bins of movies they were just about to put out on the shelves. I thought I wasn't seeing it because Meijer's new release section pretty well sucks, but I guess this explains it further.

I went by my local Best Buy at lunch. No Erik The Viking. The release date they showed in their computer was 2025.
Anyone know WTF is up with this DVD ? I guess the Gods hate us.

I can't believe there isn't any info on this movie. Someone has to be putting out something on it. I mean, it may not be the best known movie but it certainly is a cult favorite.

I seem to remember a bit about Warner Bros. potentially buying a portion of Sony's recently acquired MGM catalog, so perhaps that has something to do with the hold up. If someone could find that article it would be great.

There's another one of those titles that was only availible in the U.K. for a long while. I should have known this would happen when "Fire & Ice" and "Eraserhead" (re-release of the Lynch-authorized DVD) began selling at American Amazon.com.
