Any news on Transformers?

Any news on another Transformers release?

TV on DVD doesn't list anything. I'm missing the two season two sets, should I rush out and get these or sell off my others and wait for a new set?

re:"TV on DVD doesn't list anything." I've been digging and digging looking for info about Sony BMG's releases of any of the Sunbow properties, but nothing so far. I would not hold my breathe just yet.

As has been said in previous threads about this, don't look for any re-release until the movie comes out.

Depends which series you want.

If you want the original, Gen-1 (without the spinning cube thingy and awful music - Gen-2), you can get all of it in r2.

Well, back when Rhino's license expired for Transformers and GI Joe, this was posted on TheTransformers.Net website:

http://www.thetransformers.net/newss...sID=718&Skin=1

"Transfandom have received an email from Rhino, the US company who has the DVD rights to the original Transformers series, Beast Wars and Transformers Armada, who have lost the license to The Transformers.

Rhino's deal with sunbow ,the licensor of transformers,g.i joe and jem,has expired.Sony music has acquired them and will reissue these titles at some point. DR.RHINO"

So, we can definitely hope that these will see the light of day again. The recent announcement of Transformers the Movie makes me think we will indeed see the seasons released again.

Yea, this kinda makes me upset, because I only have up through Season 2 of the Rhino sets, and if I want to get the other 2 Rhino put out, I have to venture the way of eBay and they are expensive as anything on there. Sony better get their ass in gear.
